The second SoBo Photo Show & Contest was a big draw at this year’s “I Love SoBo Day” community celebration on Saturday, April 27, at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.
Nineteen South Baltimore peninsula residents submitted a total of 29 photos to the contest. The theme of the show was “City People,” which included portraits or street photography with a focus on people in a Baltimore setting.
The Photo Show was organized by Peninsula Post staff photographer Mary Braman. Celebrity judge Janet Jeffers Little reviewed the photos and selected the top three and one honorable mention. which were announced on April 27. Also announced was the “People’s Choice” winner selected by SoBo Day attendees.
1st Place (Celebrity Judge): “O Say Can You See” by Cozette Conrad (#15)
2nd Place (Celebrity Judge): “City Kids” by Nora Collins (#5)
3rd Place (Celebrity Judge) and People’s Choice Winner: “Waiting at Fire Station #2” by Assem Akram (#13)
Honorable Mention (Celebrity Judge): “Baltimore Strong #1” by Cole Gilbert (#22)
