With the help of generous donors and neighbors like you, South Baltimore United is wrapping up its first full year of working to build stronger community connections across the SoBo peninsula. And what a year it’s been!
With your support, this all-volunteer nonprofit organization created:
- 6 issues of the South Baltimore Peninsula Post newspaper distributed free to over 5,000 readers
- the first-ever “I Love SoBo Day” community celebration at the Baltimore Museum of Industry
- dozens of timely social media news updates and photos posted to SoBo neighborhood groups, and
- a comprehensive “SoBo Events” online calendar constantly updated with fun and interesting local activities.
And we have even more planned for 2023 – more pages of news and a bigger “I Love SoBo Day” celebration in May. Thanks to our donors, local businesses that advertise in the newspaper, and a grant from the South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, we have a solid foundation to build on.
But we need your help to keep these community connections thriving and growing in the New Year!
Our second annual Community Fundraising Campaign wraps up on Friday, January 6. You can donate today on our GoFundMe site or by sending a check (made out to South Baltimore United) to 145 W. Ostend St., Suite 600, Baltimore, MD 21230.
Thank you for your support! – Steve Cole, Editor-in-Chief
