417 Years of SoBo History: Part One

Regular readers of the Peninsula Post know that one of the topics we return to again and again in our pages is the rich history of the South Baltimore peninsula. Starting with our very first issue, we have brought you stories about SoBo’s past, from the 1814 British attack on Fort McHenry to the “road wars” that reshaped the peninsula a half century ago.

Below we have collected a dozen of these stories for your reading (or re-reading) enjoyment. You can be sure there will be many more to come as we enter our fifth year of publishing next month. The rich vein of history running through SoBo has not yet been exhausted. – Steve Cole, Editor-in-Chief
