South Baltimore United, Inc., has been building community connections on the SoBo peninsula with a free newspaper and fun events since 2020. In the past year, this small 501(c)3 nonprofit has:
- listed 523 community events in our free SoBo Events calendar
- published 47 news stories about SoBo people and events
- created 172 Instagram posts about activities across the peninsula
- welcomed 1,003 neighbors to the annual “I Love SoBo Day”
We wouldn’t be able to do all this without our hard-working volunteers and generous donors like you.

TOP BLOCKS COMPETITION!
Join with your neighbors to become one of the Most Generous Blocks in SoBo! The block with the most donors or the most donations (minimum 3 donors) will receive free advance home delivery of the Peninsula Post for an entire year and a street sign declaring their block “The Most Generous Block in SoBo.”
To enter the competition, when you make your donation add your block number and street name (for example, “2000 block E. Fort Ave.”) to the Venmo memo field or write it on your check. If donating on GoFundMe, email your address and name to hello@sobopost.org.
The winning blocks will be announced on January 12, 2024.
