5th Annual “SoBo Day” Arrives May 3

It’s a free celebration of all things South Baltimore!

Join your friends and neighbors from across the South Baltimore peninsula at “I Love SoBo Day,” hosted by South Baltimore United, Inc., the nonprofit publisher of the South Baltimore Peninsula Post. The event is free and open to the public.

Date: Sunday, May 3 (rain or shine)

Time: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Location: Baltimore Museum of Industry pavilion, 1415 Key Highway

SoBo Day brings together people from across the many neighborhoods of the South Baltimore peninsula. It’s a fun celebration of this great part of the city for all ages.

Special events include:

  • Total Body Community Workout for adults with FIT4MOM Baltimore City. Signup online in advance (8:15-9am)
  • How well do you know SoBo? Find out with our new peninsula-wide Scavenger Hunt. Clues will be released April 25. Bring your answers to the information tables at SoBo Day to receive a prize on the spot. (9am-12pm)
  • The SoBo Arts & Crafts Show will showcase all types of creative talents with awards and a $100 cash prize. (9-11:45am People’s Choice voting, winners announced at 12pm).
  • Enter our first-ever SoBo Cornhole Competition, hosted by Volo Sports, for a shot at a $50 cash prize. We have one competition for kids ages 10-17 and one for adults. (10:30-11:15am kids, 11:15am-12pm adults)
  • Baby & Toddler Music Time hosted by the South Baltimore Music Academy. (9:30-10am)
  • One-hour Sailboat Tours with the Downtown Sailing Center on a limited, first-come basis (weather permitting) offered to SoBo Day visitors ages 6 and older. Rides depart at 10am and 11:15am. Sign up at the DSC table. (10am-12:15pm)
  • Try out your Hula Hooping skills and watch a performance by the pros from Baltimore Hoop Love. (9:30-11:30am)
  • Our Silent Auction features items from local businesses, artists, restaurants, and makers. (9am-12pm)
