Pitch In to Support the Peninsula Post

SoBo’s free bimonthly newspaper – bringing you peninsula news, events, and in-depth features – runs on volunteer power and donor dollars. Your support is vital to keeping the presses running and the news flowing across the peninsula.

In October we launched a special, one-month fundraising effort in recognition of National Newspaper Week (October 5-11). Our “Pitch In” campaign celebrates the value of newspapers like the Peninsula Post in forging connections in the communities they serve. The campaign’s goal is to build a strong financial foundation for our small nonprofit enterprise so that we can bring you a SoBo newspaper for years to come.

For this campaign we are offering two special donation levels designed with the budget-conscious SoBo reader in mind. And, for the first time, we have some very special thank you gifts for donors (while supplies last):

  • Donate $30 or more and receive a double-layer knit acrylic beanie with your choice of the Peninsula Post logo or “SoBo” embroidered on the front.
  • Donate $60 or more and receive a sturdy, recycled cotton canvas drawstring tote bag with your choice of the Peninsula Post logo or “I Love SoBo” printed on the front.

The “Pitch In” campaign wraps up Saturday, November 1, at the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s Farmers’ Market (1415 Key Hwy.), which is open 9am to 1pm. Stop by the Peninsula Post table, pick up the latest FREE issue, make a donation, and take home one of our thank you gifts.

Donations at BMI can be made with Venmo, credit card, or check (payable to South Baltimore United). The campaign’s two special donation levels will be offered to online donors after November 1. – Steve Cole, Editor
